On July 6th, the “Together We Rise – Cultural Understanding and Inclusion” group met to further prepare for the upcoming interrail adventure through Central Europe. The meeting focused on organizing the group itinerary and developing meaningful activities aligned with the project’s central theme: promoting cultural understanding and inclusion. The participants gathered to share ideas, define responsibilities, and strengthen their sense of teamwork ahead of the journey. During the meeting, the group discussed and distributed tasks related to the organization of the trip, including day-by-day planning for each city, activity coordination, and contact with local organizations. Associations working on inclusion and intercultural dialogue in cities such as Luxembourg, Strasbourg, Munich, Vienna, Prague, and Budapest were presented and explored. The group also shared relevant local initiatives in their own municipality, looking for ways to connect their international experience with their local context. In addition, ideas for activities to be developed during the trip — such as informal reflections, interviews, and group dynamics — were brainstormed collaboratively. The meeting marked another important step in preparing a journey that goes beyond tourism, aiming instead for dialogue, awareness, and real connection with the communities along the way. The team spirit and shared commitment reflect the values of the Together We Rise project and the mission of DiscoverEU Inclusion.
From Ideas to Itinerary: The First Chapter of Together We Rise – Cultural Understanding and Inclusion
On April 15th, an online meeting was held with the participants of the “Together We Rise – Cultural Understanding and Inclusion” project, with the goal of taking another step in organizing the interrail trip across Europe, which will last for 10 days. During the meeting, held in a relaxed, participatory, and collaborative atmosphere, the outbound and return flights were confirmed, as well as the European cities to be visited along the route. The group discussed the number of nights to be spent in each city, compared available accommodation options and their respective costs, and explored activities that could promote intercultural understanding and social inclusion at each destination. It was an important moment of planning and idea sharing, reinforcing group spirit and the excitement for what will certainly be a transformative experience. The project aims to provide young people with opportunities to engage with different cultures and realities, fostering empathy, respect for diversity, and appreciation of a shared European identity.
